When Mom came to bring us breakfast, we were still asleep but quickly woke up to the smell of fresh alfalfa and grain. After we finished CC took me out to show me the pasture and all the best places to roll, the hours flew by that day as did the next few weeks. My coughing started up again this time it was getting really bad, every time I coughed my tummy hurt I also noticed CC starting to cough as well. Soon we were loaded up into a trailer and taken for a ride when we were led out we were at yet another strange place, both of us were taken to a small paddock so we could stretch our legs a bit. After a few min of romping around yet another man came out with Mom to look at us smiling the whole time, so we walked over to see them. This man put this thing next to CC's chest and tummy then to mine then walked away. Wow I thought that was easy, not bad at all but as soon as he came back out I changed my mind really fast I got what he called a shot, right in my back side!!! He said it will make me feel better really soon and stop coughing same with CC she got one also, the whole time she was scowling at me like all this was my fault. I guess in a way it was and I felt bad about it, but I was not gonna let CC know. Soon we were loaded up and taken back home it sure did feel good to be back. In the next few days our coughing stopped we were both so happy! The days melted into each other soon we were loaded back into the trailer to go back to the vets, I learned to like Dr. Joe he is a nice man sometimes he does things that I don't like but I always feel better after. This time a group of people came and took me away from CC, I was still in sight of her but I sure was scared. This time Dr. Joe stuck me in the neck it did not hurt but it made me sleepy. When I awoke Mommy was right there stroking my face, I tried to stand up but I got this shooting pain rip threw my tummy, so I decided to stay down for a bit longer. CC was standing next to the fence watching over me with such worry in her eyes. We were finally led back to the trailer for the long ride home. Page 8 |
